vegan leather?

OK, I try to be as green as possible, I do, but I just don't get vegan leather aka PLEATHER!  I am not against plether by any means, don't get me wrong.  As long as it looks real, I am all for it, I just don't get this whole vegan leather craze.  Call it what it is and stop trying to be fancy.  It's polyurathane!!!  Vegan leather is just another word for pleather, so don't be fooled into thinking it's something better and don't pay more than what it's worth.

pull out the flare

Good thing I never get rid of my expensive jeans becasue it looks like the flare is back!  My usual rule is if I haven't worn an item in a year, give it to good will.  I have limited closet space and can't possibly store anything that I don't wear.  As always, there are exceptions to every rule and mine is if I spent over $200 keep it!  (Unless it's hideous or doesn't fit).  Since my jeans almost always fall into this category, I have quite the collection.  Which is a good thing because it's all about the wide leg jeans this season.  Wear them with all the shorter length shirts you haven't been able to wear with your skinnys, cute boho peasant blouses, or the very trendy sailor shirts.

Don't go putting away your skinnys away just yet they are still very in!

I was watching ugly betty on my DVR last night and I don't know about you but I love the way the stylist dresses Amanda.   She always looks super cute!  In last weeks episode she had on a hot pink blazer a tank and these amazing lace inset leggings on.  It looks adorable.  Get them on thread and common for only $22 bucks!!

How to...

Wear a vest.  There are a few really cute vests on threadandcommon.com and the biggest question I get is:  What do I wear under it?  Well, it definitely depends on the style of the vest, but there are a few key rules you can go by.  Stay away from super tight shirts unless it's a tank.  I am loving the low cut v-necks from the ones from american apparel. (I know, promoting another store, but it looks cute! What can I say?)  Also, any loose fitting boyfriend tee or long sleeve top looks great.  So there you go- the answer to all your vest problems!
